Booking conditions

General terms and conditions of Holiday Park Quinta Laranja
Quinta Laranja is part of Van Elswijk, Lda. The following terms and conditions cover bookings at Holiday Park Quinta Laranja, as well as your stay locally. Holiday Park Quinta Laranja is in possession of the required permits for holiday rental accomodations “Alojamento Local” (soon to become `Turismo Rural´) and complies with all requirements for fire safety.

Checking in – and out at our Collection of Cottages
On the day of arrival, you can check in from 16:00. On the day of departure, check out is no later than 10:00. We kindly request you to stick to these times, as cleaning, maintenance and preperations may not be ready if you´re early (check in) and enough time is needed to clean and prepare your accommodation for other arriving guests (check out).

Final cleaning at our resort
In the end of each stay we ask for the accommodation to be handed down in a “broom clean” state. This also entails all dishwashing, emptying garbage bins and repositioning furniture back on their original place. A final cleaning will be taken care of by our staff. For the final cleaning a standard fee apllies which does not relate to the length of your stay. The costs of the final cleaning are not included in the price but can be found at the price list separately.

Reservations and payments to our Quinta
A reservation is confirmed once we´ve  received a booking trough our online reservation system,  via e-mail or on request by telephone. A payment of 50% of the total amount should be received on our account within 5 working days. The remainder should be received by us within four weeks before arrival. Should the moment of booking take place within four weeks before your arrival date, then the full amount should be paid upfront.

Cancelation policy of our collection of cottages in Portugal
Should you, for any reason, be forced to cancel your holiday at Quinta Laranja, we will, depending on the moment of cancellation, make a refund according to the schedule below. Our advise to our guests is to take out a cancellation insurance for the amount that is not refunded by us.

Refund by our Holiday Park in case of cancellation:
Untill 30 days before arrival: 50%

Within 30 days before arrival: 0%

During your stay at Quinta Laranja: 0%

Liability Quinta Laranja
Quinta Laranja and “Van Elswijk, Lda” cannot be held liabel for any accidents that occur during your holiday on our premisses. Nor can we be responsible for any damage or loss of belongings. Entering and using our accommodations, our full property with swimming pool, and usage of recreational or sports equipment and gear like surfboards, bodyboards and the trampoline are on full responsibility of our guests.

Damage to Quinta Laranja property
Should damage be done to our possessions (like accommodations, house hold contents, property, swimming pool or sport and recreational materials) or should certain movable property be lost or stolen, then the damage done can be recovered on the responsible person. Our guest are advised to take out an (travel) insurance as to mitigate such risks.

Smoking at Quinta Laranja
Smoking is not allowed inside our accommodations. Smoking is only permitted on your private terrace or elsewhere on the property where the ground is paved. We do however ask you to be extra cautious with fire because of forest fire hazzard.

Pets
Pets are only allowed inside our accommodations and at our property after pre-consultation with us.

Use of electric appliances
To prevent overload of our electricity grid and avoid unforeseen high costs, it is not allowed to use own brought electric appliances of over 800W. Should you wish too use a certain appliance, then pre-consultation with us is required.
